My family has been involved in the spice industry for many generations. It all started with my grandfather, who began cultivating fenugreek leaves, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds in our lush fields. He recognized the potential in these fragrant treasures and, driven by his enthusiasm and spirit of entrepreneurship, he took a risk and opened a small shop in our village center back in 1979. The villagers were delighted with the new business and appreciated the variety of flavors and spices it offered.
In 2005, the monsoon season brought devastating floods that severely impacted Gujarat, India. The disaster engulfed our family's shop, along with 20 districts and 11 cities, and submerged over 7,200 villages. But despite the setback, we were determined to rise above the adversity and forge ahead. We made the bold decision to relocate to Surat City to confront the financial challenges we faced. There, my father secured a job in a diamond company, but his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to establish a tiny shop in the city in 2009. Our family's unwavering resilience and determination enabled us to overcome the setback and rebuild our livelihoods with renewed strength and confidence.
Our store for business growth
Building on our success in the spice business, my father seized the opportunity to expand further by opening a large store in Surat City in 2018. This move was blessed with divine grace and proved to be a game-changer. For over 25 years, the people of Surat and its surrounding areas have relied on the exceptional quality and authenticity of our spices, entrusting us with their culinary needs.
As market trends shifted towards online sales, I proactively ventured into the realm of e-commerce and introduced our spices to a wider audience across India through platforms like Amazon. The response we received was remarkable, and it further fueled my passion for taking our unique blend of spices to the global market.
With the tremendous support we have received within the country, I now aspire to take on the world through United Spicefruit. I am confident that our spices will be embraced by food lovers across the globe, and I am excited to see our brand become a household name in the international market.
